George S. Braucht is the founder and Principal Collaborator of Brauchtworks Consulting, a leading consulting firm specializing in organizational development, training, and performance support. With over 40 years of experience in the behavioral health, community corrections, and peer recovery services sectors, he is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), bringing an extensive array of certifications to his practice. His qualifications include being a Recovery Coach Academy Trainer and a Level II Trainer on the Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS). His commitment to continuous quality and outcome improvement has positioned him as a trusted partner for organizations seeking to enhance their service delivery and operational efficiency.


Throughout his career, George has accumulated over 14,000 hours of supervised psychotherapy and community psychology experience, making him a recognized leader in his field. He has a deep understanding of workforce development and has dedicated his career to supporting professional and peer service providers in delivering high-quality care. His expertise extends to critical areas such as the Science of Addiction and Recovery (SOAR), recovery-oriented systems of care, ethical decision-making, and service delivery system reviews. His ability to translate decades of research and practical experience into actionable insights has earned him a reputation for driving real results in organizational development and consulting.


George’s educational background includes a Master of Science degree in general experimental psychology from Georgia College, with concentrations in physiological, clinical, and community psychology. He has served on the Editorial Board of Corrections Compendium, the American Correctional Association’s peer-reviewed research journal, and authored numerous professional publications. His work has been recognized in academic settings such as Franklin University, Kennesaw State University, and DeVry Institute of Technology, as well as in various crisis, mental health, substance abuse, employee assistance, and criminal justice programs. His passion for facilitating behavioral health and social justice trainings, combined with his hands-on experience in direct service, clinical supervision, program management, development, teaching, and training, sets him apart as a distinguished leader in his field.
